Graston Technique

The Graston Technique uses a variety of unique handheld tools combined with a specialized form of massage that is designed to help the practitioner identify areas of restriction and break up the scar tissue. There are 6 core tools used in the Graston Technique. These tools are made of stainless steel and are concave and convex-shaped. The Graston Technique is an evidence-based form of mobilization the enables physicians to efficiently and effectively assess soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions resulting in pain and stiffness relief.

Graston Technique achieves faster and better outcomes for acute and chronic chiropractic injury conditions such as Achilles Tendonitis (Tendinosis), Lumbar Spine Strain (low back pain), Plantar Fasciitis (Fasciosis), Adhesive Capsulitis, Rotator Cuff Injuries, Lateral Epicondylitis (Epicondylosis), Muscle Strains, Patellofemoral Disorders, Patellar Tendinitis (Tendinosis), IT Band Syndrome, Cervical Spine Strain (neck pain), and Headaches.

Graston Technique:

  • Decreases overall time for full injury resolution
  • Promotes faster rehabilitation/recovery
  • Reduces need for anti-inflammatory medication
  • Resolves chronic conditions thought to be permanent

By using the Graston Technique to break down the scar tissue and fascia restrictions created during injury, this process reduces or eliminates the adhered fibers which restores range of motion and will eliminate pain. Graston Technique helps transform the injured soft tissue into healthy, functioning tissue.
